Jakarta, June 10, 2015 – Located at The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place, PT. Intan Baruprana Finance, Tbk ("IBF") today held a workshop titled "Introduction to Factoring and Structuring Factoring Transaction." For this event, IBF invited a speaker from Russia, Mikhail Treyvish, who is an expert in international factoring transactions and a Member of the Board and Chairman of the Asian Chapter, International Factors Group.
The workshop was opened by Mr. Jap Hartono, President Director of IBF, and was attended by IBF employees, including the Board of Directors, Board of Commissioners, Sharia Supervisory Board, as well as funding banks that have collaborated in providing financing to IBF.
The purpose of this workshop was to provide insight and understanding of factoring and factoring transaction structures, as IBF intends to diversify its financing, one of which is the expansion into the factoring sector, in line with its work program.
The Company views the diversification of financing into the factoring sector as a way to increase revenue and expand the types of services offered to customers. This is because IBF sees promising growth opportunities in the factoring sector and fundamentally already possesses the human resources and systems capable of supporting it.
This occasion also served as a means of socialization to banking partners, informing them of IBF's intention to enter the factoring sector and hopefully leading them to start providing funding facilities to IBF.
